You may be right, but the story isn’t … they didn’t draft him to provide competition, they drafted him to be their punter.

His average is not only good, he’s accurate to the corners, and gets it up in the air. He doesn’t boom a 45 yarder into the end zone when a 38 yarder gets it inside the 5. He’s really, really good.
