Did John McCain Get An Illegal Campaign Contribution From A Foreign National?
A US campaign watchdog has accused presumptive Republican president nominee John McCain of violating election laws by accepting campaign contributions from two prominent Londoners.
At issue is a fundraising luncheon held in March at London’s Spencer House, during McCain’s swing through the United Kingdom. An invitation to the event lists Lord Rothschild and Nathaniel Rothschild as hosts, and indicates the event was made possible with their “kind permission”.
Judicial Watch, a Washington organisation instrumental in the March release of Hillary Clinton’s White House schedules, has asked US election monitors to investigate whether the Rothschilds improperly sponsored the fundraiser. US political campaigns are forbidden from accepting contributions from foreign nationals.

OW, just noticed the Ten Things You Should Know About John McCain item in your header. You do realize your list includes only 9 items so far, right?
Are Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton and Elton John breaking U.S. laws by allowing the British pop singer, a foreign national, to raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for Mrs. Clinton’s presidential campaign by performing a concert on her behalf?
That’s the question Inside the Beltway put to the Federal Election Commission (FEC) yesterday, which does not rule out the possibility.

Excellent, Christie. They’re both thwarting the law.
Kinda make the choice easy, don’t it?
“Kinda make the choice easy, don’t it?”
Yep.
They’re all crooks taking money from the super rich. McCain takes the scraps from the Rothchild’s, Obama from the Getty’s, and Clinton from flambouyant showbiz queens.
Sorry, sadly, no. We were talking about foreign nationals contributing to Presidential campaigns. The Gettys live here.
Thanks for playing.
I find it interesting that you write a blog about McCain taking money from Londoners but don’t have anything to say when it comes out that the Obama campaign has most likely taken money from donaters in the Gaza Strip. So do you think it is okay for Obama to take money from people who were dancing in the street after hearing of the terrorist attacks on 09-11-01?
