North Carolina TV Station Rejects Obama/Wright Ad
By Eric Kleefeld – April 24, 2008, 5:40PM
The North Carolina Republican Party is hitting a wall in their efforts to run that attack ad against Barack Obama and Jeremiah Wright: Finding a TV station that will run it.
WRAL-TV, the CBS affiliate in the “Triangle” region of Raleigh, Durham and Fayetteville, has officially rejected the ad. WTVD, the ABC outlet in that same media market, is also saying they haven’t been asked to run the ad but would have reservations about doing so.

Call me the most cynical person evah–but here’s several layers of screwed-up–
You-tube, etc. will pick it up–and eveybody will end up seeing it–but–(I predict, because it happened with the NC “too extreme” ad)
McCain gets to denounce it (I know, but we can see how that would go his “honorable maverick” image, no?) and–
It gets run so we can see why McCain denounces it, and by denouncing, he looks like an honorable guy.
And because he denounces it, it’s news and gets run again, and, if we want to dissect what’s wrong with it–we’ll link and get eyeballs on it again, and, whatever happens:
The message is out there. So viral it’s a public bathroom toilet-seat of viral-propagation. And some susceptible souls will say “Hmm, must be something there, I’ve heard it often enough.”
The answer–”please–why do we encourage b.s. superfluous law n’ order legislation when many gangsters end up on death row with existing laws?–It’s unnecessary: Vote Barack Obama, he isn’t wasting our time with b.s. He’s interested in real solutions to real problems.” Which, if I got that right, was why he was against the legislation involved.
A lot of people predicted the spot would be shown over and over on the cable networks, and it was. And it will happen again. It’s win-win for McCain and the wingnuts.
I don’t know who you are, but the people on my site are – present company excepted – smart enough to know bull when they see it, and certainly don’t fall for racist Republican advertising.
cable news anchors all lay their jackets over puddles for the apple of their daddy fetishist eye
Wait a second, I thought this election was going to be all about voting records.
And, yes, that is Jay bait.
