It is getting to be time for the superdelegates to do what the Democrats had in mind when they created superdelegates: settle a bloody race that cannot be won at the ballot box.

Dear Superdelegates,
End the McCain proxy’s run now. She can’t win the most pledged delegates. Our senate and congress candidates are having money troubles because she’s still in the race and donations are going to her failed run instead of building a greater majority in the house and senate
so… I guess you don’t want to hear that when they make it to earth, it’s full of ewoks?
Because ruining one Sci-Fi franchise just wasn’t good enough for the little furry bastards!
What’s this? Mention of Dr. Dawkins with no snark? Good heavens!
Also, Expelled is a truly awful movie. I almost don’t want to spoil it because it’s like a horror movie with the audience as the victims, where just when you think you understand what’s happening they go places with their insane arguments that you can’t actually believe. Not just the Nazi stuff, which is bad enough, but they manage to basically implicate everything the Reagan-publicans hate as being a result of Darwin. Stein basically “becomes” Reagan in the final shot and its… god I’m hoping I can forget this movie eventually but its just so utterly utterly awful…
Oliver you REALLY REALLY want to avoid spoilers right about now. There’s some real good #*!@ headed your way in the next few episodes.
I don’t have a problem with Dawkins when he’s arguing in favor of evolution over nonsense, I just don’t like when he belittles religion.
“I don’t have a problem with Dawkins when he’s arguing in favor of evolution over nonsense, I just don’t like when he belittles religion.”
Religion is based on faith.
Faith is believing some without evidence or indeed evidence to the contrary.
It deserves to the belittled.
Faith, believing in something that cannot be empirically proved, is not a bad thing. In one way or another, we all have faith in something, and that faith may be all that makes it possible to go about our lives.
Religion is not the same as faith. Religion far, far more often than not involves people trying to control others and tell others what they must think. Religion deserves to be belittled. Faith does not.
