Republican Recession Watch: 80,000 Jobs Lost In March And John McCain Doesn’t Know Much About Economics

Welcome to the suck.

The employers cut payrolls for a third month in a row in March, slashing 80,000 jobs for the biggest monthly job decline in five years as the economy headed into a downturn, government data on Friday showed.

The Labor Department revised the first two months of the year’s job losses to a total of 152,000 from a previous estimate of 85,000. The March unemployment rate jumped to 5.1 percent from 4.8 percent, the highest since a matching rate in September 2005.

80,000 lost jobs in March, over 200,000 jobs lost since the first of the year…curious here, how many of those jobs were LOST BY ILLEGAL ALIENS? How can all three Presidential Candidates support AMNESTY and a pathway to citizenship when illegal aliens hold MILLIONS of JOBS rightfully belonging to American Citizens, and where is the mainstream media in asking the candidates this important question.

They are not asking that question, because it is a stupid question.

People are not losing jobs because of illegal aliens, people are losing jobs because the economy has been built on consumer debt for so long that it was bound to fail and no one in the government bothered to do anything to prevent that, or at least lessen the inevitable fall. In fact, they encouraged it because the short term gains looked good and that was politically advantageous.

Looks like Bush will be the first president in how long to have 2 recessions on his watch.

    Many economists already are.

CSS: “They are not asking that question, because it is a stupid question.”

It’s also stupidly phrased and has a stupid assumption behind it.

If the jobs lost were lost by illegal aliens what would you have to complain about, Rabbit? The illegals come here because of the availability of jobs. If the jobs go away, so would the illegals. Right? Problem solved.

It’s not recession, folks! It’s Bush’s new immigration plan!

Sean: It’s not recession, folks! It’s Bush’s new immigration plan!

It’s actually Bush’s plan to eliminate poverty. Jobs go bye-bye and essentials become too expensive so the poor and middle class die!

So, Americans deserver jobs over immigrants by virtue of the fact that they’re natural born citizens? Boy, you really have an entitlement problem.

    “They’z a takin’ our jerbs!”

Yeah, I get tired of hearing that, too. Like you can find anyone who actually says it who is willing to take one of the jobs the illegals are supposedly stealing.

uh here i am…i work at perdue poultry plant in dothan alabama..about half the work force is illegal despite the fact that at 9.55/hr. It is a job coveted by low skilled workers AMERICANS who they arent hiring even though they probably average 200 AMERICAN applicants a month…oh i forgot as long as the illegals are here our wages will stay at 9.55/hr. Because each and every one of us know if we quit/get fired we get replaced with a grinning guatemalan/mexican who will do the labor for min. Wage …which anyone could do in a 5-10 person adult led household with the bare minimum of expense…!
