This is precisely his shtick. There's a certain type of person, that in groups, all align with each other, and when one makes a falsehood everyone knows is wrong, everyone else in the group understands it's a lie, it's the truth, it's a lie, it's a truth, and do what they can to spread the meme and use it to shoutdown others. Sadly, it's not just the right that has this contingent in it, and the reality based left has to make sure we don't accept those tactics as acceptable. Being reality based should be more than just a motto. It should be a competitive advantage. But it's not if we allow people on our side to be just as manipulative, just as dishonest as the Becks.
