John McCain Didn’t Plagiarize His Iraq Speech

3:04 pm EST March 27th, 2008 | News | 8 Comments

Original thought dies another day.

Update: Looks like Johnny Mac is the victim of the plagiarism here. To recap: he’s a warmonger, but one with original warmonger thoughts of his own.

As Badmoodman commented on the page you linked to, “Now McCain has come down with “all Ziemer’s” disease.”

    LOL.

(Note how that was done, Johnnie? Credit given where it was due.)

  2. Quaker in a Basement says:

Now just hold on…I’m sure this will get the same coverage that the Obama/Patrick “plagiarism” receved…soon…or maybe later…

  3. Duros62 says:

It’s getting to the point where he’s almost daring the press to pick him off and they just don’t take the bait.

  4. Rex Mundane says:

I’m sure this will get the same coverage that the Obama/Patrick “plagiarism” receved

Clearly it has done already. Why if you were to do a google search for “Obama Plagiarism” you’ll see it has fewer hits than “McCain Plagarism.” Quod Erat Googenstrandum. Typographical niggling F.T.W!

  5. Sean D. Martin says:

    Obama plagiarism = 306,000 hits
    McCain plagiarism = 528,000

but, narrowed to past 12 months:
    Obama plagiarism = 73,300
    McCain plagiarism = 41,800

  6. Rex Mundane says:

…I believe you’ll find “McCain Plagiarism” nets around 220k hits. See I had actually done a sort of trick using a common misspelling of plagiarism as plagarism to get my numbers that prove a ridiculously untrue point so that… well nevermind, heres a table:

    Plagarism Plagiarism
    Obama 847k 314k
    McCain 528k 223k

The numbers are otherwise equal to yours for both in the “within 1 year” search though, Obama around 70k, McCain 40k

  7. Simon says:

Ummm…you guys may want to click the link again. It seem that Ziemer actually plagiarized the speech from an old McCain speech. Yes, I am supporting Obama. But lets try to rise above the smearing. I respect John McCain, and I think he is a good man. I just don’t think he’s the best choice for President.

  8. demsrliars says:

Once again, the far left lunatics are spreading lies and tap dancing when caught…”but…but…but…”
    You people are nuts.
