OK, but can you give us the address of your confidential blog where you explain the secret significance? I’m such an ignorant white guy that, for instance, when I heard Flanders saying things like Okely-Dokely, I never thought to connect with the fact that he’s Black! Or something.
Okey Doke is black slang? Damn, I’m a middle aged white guy and I’ve been saying that for over 40 years. I hope I didn’t offend any of my black friends.

“Okey-doke” was popularized by George “Spanky” McFarland of the Little Rascals, an old series of film shorts.
Spanky was white.
Suddenly I feel like the redneck that I must in fact be. Either that or I am black because I understand Okie-Dokie.
Oh wait, now Taylor Marsh is black because she gets it. We’re all black now. Even Ed McMahon. Even Barbara Bush.
That does it.
I’m just going to go down in my basement and stay there until this is all over. Folks have just gone crazy.
I thought you were always int he basement.
Not comin’ out til it’s over.
You are very wise.
Ok,
This Okie Dokie thing is just wrong. That phrase is no more owned by the Black Population than the White. It is simply a way of expressing: OK
OKLE DOKLE on the other hand does have a connotation to it that implies “police station”
So.. what of it. If you folks want something or mean something.. come out with it and say it. Don’t change dictionaries and casual meanings of words to disguise what you want or will do.
And by the way.. Obama is NOT superman. Don’t you all realize Superman is a Comic book character and NOT real. It is getting more obvious that he will win, but I am still holding out for a miracle. I will keep my Freedom, My Bible, My Guns and My Money… Obama can keep the Change!
Hey how come my reply is no longer posted.. didn’t you like what I had to say. I basically said that Okie Dokie means simply OK. Okle Dokle has is linked to the words “police station”. It is no more owned by Blacks than it is by whites. It is not Black slang. Don’t try and change dictionary definitions and casual meanings to form little “undergrounds” of meaning. Say what you mean and don’t beat around the bush.
And… Obama is NOT superman. Don’t you all realize Superman is a comic charachter… NOT REAL
Okie Dokie, Lizzie.
