Ha. I knew you were thinking of migrating to WordPress. I did myself a couple months back. What prompted you to make the change? Did you find it difficult or was it smooth?

As to the layout: K2′s a classical layout, but the text color is a little faint and thus hard to read. Otherwise, it looks like you really got everything set up ahead of the unveiling. I like the descending order tag cloud (thought the Redskins would be higher).

    Can we have avatars again?

If you don’t write an article or a book on your experiences with all the various platforms, installation, customizing, management, you’re missing it. (And you should be selling consulting services to….)

I like your layout though I don’t know I ever noticed that Abraham Lincoln has some sort of mecha laser eyebeams before. Photoshop out the armrest, and he’s perfect for a pew, pew, pew image macro.

Love the new layout. Much easier to read thanks!

  5. Well the thing is, a lot of folks were having trouble commenting on MT,and I frankly found 4.0 to be way too hard for me to customize to my liking. I like WordPress a lot, the only issue I’ve had with it in the past is it locks up when I get a traffic spike. I’m hoping this current version remedies the error.

Avatars are on, you just have to go to gravatar.com to register your email address with one.

  6. Also, the Lincoln pic is one I took myself. It’s one of the few photo jobs I’ve done that don’t look like total ass.

Mr. Brand Democrat puts a picture of a famous Republican on his website, eh? No FDR? No JFK?

  8. Robster says:

No worries, man. I’ve been known to change my blog template as often as Ozzy Osburne fires band members.

This is offtopic, but since I know we’re all reality based and interested in science, this is the best super slow-motion film of a water balloon exploding, ever. Link goes to a discussion of the film: Amazingly great.

I’ve watched it about nine times now. Each time I notice some details I had missed before.

Hastert’s House seat has fallen to the Democrat.

This is obviously good news for the GOP.

    Looks nice!

  13. Bozzy says:

Glad you finally went back to WordPress!

  14. Duros62 says:

Who knew all you had to do to spike your traffic was to switch back?
And we get all our old friends back like lib4, Rheinhard and, um, Dr. Pedro….
    …yeah…
    Oh well…
