In this video a soldier - apparently a marine - takes a puppy and throws it to its death. Does anyone know if the video is authentic? Radar has identified a specific marine as the culprit.
I really hope the video is some stupid fake viral video, and certainly in a war in which human beings are being killed, this falls down the chart. But when you consider the vast majority of good people serving in the military, I think people who kills dogs for sport represent the worst of us.

Military officials are investigating an Internet video that purports to show a Marine throwing a puppy off a rocky cliff.
Maj. Chris Perrine of the Marine Corps Base Hawaii says it appears the man is based with a unit in the islands.
Marine officials are calling the YouTube video “shocking and deplorable” and say it violates “the high standard we expect of every Marine.”
Even if that video was fake, it’s still disturbing that a Marine would even consider videotaping or committing an act like this.
There are mountains of other videos on the net of soldiers torturing and killing animals in Iraq. This is hardly unique. If you factor in the military’s lax recruiting standards, allowing skin heads and ex felons to sign up, the stop loss extended tours, the lack of proper equipment, and a host of other problems, it’s not surprising either.

But heaven forbid they actually let GAY people serve in the military. Oh the horror!
I’m just shocked and saddened because my father is a Marine. Served in WWII, Korea and Vietnam. In his day, this would not have been tolerated.
This is a disgrace! It’s people like this that give America a bad name. Sign this petition I found so we can let everyone know that we won’t stand for this kind of animal abuse!
A friend of mine once lamented that he wished it weren’t so cumbersome to create a magnetic ribbon that read “Support The Troops, Except The Ones That Rape And Murder Innocent People.”

As a senior NCO, I can say that these sort of scum are not tolerated in my military. If they are caught, rest assured they will receive no sympathy from anyone in the military and will be punished to the fullest extend of the UCMJ.
I don’t know where they got this puke from but I’ll personally give him a beat down if I ever see him. He is a disgrace to the Corps, a disgrace to America and a disgrace to what men ought to stand for. Real men are kind to animals, especially helpless ones.
