George Bush & The Party Of Doom

It is apparently news that George W. Bush has predicted that his party will hold on to the White House.

Other phenomenal predictions Bush has made:

* Tax cuts for the rich would somehow help to preserve the budget surplus he inherited
* The Iraq war would be a quick and easy good idea
* The American people would totally want their social security privatized
* The “bullet has been dodged” in New Orleans
* He would do a good job as president

Also known as “pulling a McAuliffe”…

What else is he supposed to say: “We gonna get creamed”?

  2. durablend says:

It’s Karl Rove’s “new and improved math”.

He also says his approval rating will be back to 85% by summer and the economy will be booming to levels not seen in a hundred years!

Give the man credit on one correct prediction. He said he’d be a “uniter, not a divider”; it took seven years, but he has united almost 80% of the country into feeling the same way about him.

  4. Oliver Willis says:

The presidency of the United States is just like party chairman. Terry McAuliffe sent those boys to die, you know.

It’d be the first honest thing I’ve ever heard him say.

Huh? Farris brought up McAuliffe’s name in the context of political predictions. Where is he saying that a party chairman and the President are the same?

Cripes, you can’t even stick to the themes of your own entries!

Here’s a good prognostication you can take to the wingnut bank.

Guess buma didn’t read the second paragraph:

Of course we should be reaching a new equilibrium in housing prices, but unless Greenspan & Company drive interest rates up in order to induce a housing recession, there really is nothing to worry about.

Hmmm… the graph shows the Fed almost tripling rates right after this article was published. Turns out the author was right after all.

  9. duros62 says:

Greenspan? What’s the date on that?

It’d be the first honest thing I’ve ever heard him say.

That’s why you didn’t hear him say it. It’d be too honest, and that’s not his style.

  11. buma says:

farris says that Greenspan intentionally induced a housing recession. This is truly good news for republicans.

  12. SaveFarris says:

Where did I say “good news”? The only thing I recall saying was “accurate prediction”.
