Opting in to the public financing system? Are you whacked? Even if McCain gives a gentleman’s agreement (for whatever that’s worth with the GOP), to give up what is a newfound Democratic party strength is to hobble yourself.

    On the other hand, this doesn’t hurt.

    PROVIDENCE — Former Republican U.S. Sen. Lincoln Chafee today endorsed Barack Obama for president, citing the Illinois senator’s judgment and longstanding opposition to the Iraq war.

    Always liked that guy.

    I understand that he’s confident in himself, but if he is starting to believe his own PR, this is not good.
