It seems like it would be simple enough to determine if there is actually something happening to people. You know, send someone to take a look a few people. Talk to some folks, take some samples. This doesn't seem like it should be so hard. And frankly, CDC should be more concerned that something new is under the sun. Hunta-virus's and AIDS (formerly GRID-gay related immune disorder) were all pooh-poohed initially, which allowed a lot of to die unnecessarily.
