As August notes, one of the reasons you won’t have to worry about Democratic/Liberal enthusiasm if Sen. Clinton wins the nomination is that a vote for her will be a middle finger to the mainstream press and especially voices of disdain like Limbaugh, Hannity, O’Reilly, etc.
That will happen with any Democratic candidate. But especially with Sen. Clinton.
She also has the highest core support of anyone running for President. (And in some polls, the highest net support as well.)
And compared to the over the top attacks against her, she’ll look good to the average voter.
No doubt that a vote for Hillary would be an FU to the Right’s Big 3.
But other than Obama, noone has enjoyed a bigger love affair with the press than Hillary. When it comes down to it in November, we all know who is picking up endorsements from the NYT, WaPo, the Trib, the LA Times, etc while Carville and Begala continue to serve as “impartial” commentators on CNN.
Are you saying that the surest way to insult the MSM is by supporting the same candidate they support?
I do think that if Hillary gets the nom, there will be a measurable lack of enthusiam, especially from the “Troops Home Now!!” crowd. How big that group is and whether or not they’re so unenthused as to stay home in November remains to be seen.
But other than Obama, noone has enjoyed a bigger love affair with the press than Hillary.
Can I buy some pot from you?
