Mitt Romney’s Seeds Of Divisiveness Bear Fruit
Tweet
Echoing Mitt Romney’s speech last week asserting that the dividing line in America is between the religious and the secular, the far right Family Research Council claims that church shootings are the fault of “secular media”.
Because what we need now in America are more divisions based on total bull. Thanks, Mitt. Thanks, Family Research Council.
You should know that up until last year the pastor of New Life Church was Ted Haggard, who lectured the secular from a place of moral superiority until it came out he was cheating on his wife with a man and using meth.

I forget where I saw it tonight — almost certainly either TBogg or Drum’s site, but apparently the shooter came from a very religious family — and clearly had been kicked out of a religious group that he sought retaliation against.
So uh, tell us what you did on lastday, and do I gather correctly that you were renewed, or are you now blogging while on the run from the Sandman or from Sanctuary?
There was an interesting and telling interview on Fox the other night in the wake of the tragedy- they had a pastor of some church in the area on. The host asked him if people were routinely asking for shelter at these churches and the pastor said that no, not really, these churches weren’t really set up for giving shelter and food.
That innocent comment tells you all you need to know about the megachurch sort of X-Tian. What would Jesus do indeed.

These people clearly have no interest in what Jesus said or taught, but just want to use him for political gain.
