Nope… It has a pun filled name… “Sex on the City.”

The media loves puns almost as much as the suffix, “gate”, so this story has legs. I can’t wait to see if the poll numbers reflect this as a growing story.

Two points:

1.) Just because I’m Canadian doesn’t mean my arguments about American politics is wrong. Debate the validity of my points, not my country of origin.

2.) I work for an American company, so while I can’t vote, I am certainly affected by your politics. (In fact, I’ve taken a 23% pay cut in the past three years because of your piss-poor economic policies.)

Goddammit, Ian. “You’re” interested. “Due” respect.

Besides the fact that the entire world has a vested interest in who is chosen to lead the #1 world superpower, I’d rather have somebody analyzing our politics from outside the nation who has a basic grasp of English than any of the undereducated Americans who will vote for Giuliani because he was the “hero” of 9/11.

I can’t help but think Giuliani is melting down right now. It’s not just travel expenses for romantic getaways with his mistress, it’s providing his mistress with police escorts, drivers and dog walkers. Coupled with questionable(at best, criminal at worst) accounting and Bernie Kerik.

I still think the news media will just conveniently ignore all this stuff. They love this guy, though nowhere as badly as their former McCain-lust. (And David Brooks still has the latter, in near-homoerotic terms.)

I’m hoping Clinton has a big lead in my state, to keep me from having to hold my nose when I vote for her. (I always vote third party when the lead is irrelevant.)

I want Giuliani to do well enough in Iowa to kill McCain’s chances in New Hampshire, but poor enough to kill his own chances of becoming the nominee.

In other words, he needs to finish in a close race with Thompson for third and McCain in fifth. If he drops too fast, McCain would benefit and he’s the only one I’m really worried about on the Republican side.

I want Romney to come in first, with Huckabee in second. (Hell, I was Ron Paul to come in first, but that’s never going to happen.)

Romney would then win New Hampshire with Huckabee surging, perhaps into second place, (which would kill Giuliani).

This would give Romney the win in Michigan killing Giuliani and all but giving him the nomination.

Ron Paul would then run as a Libertarian taking enough Republicans away to make it nearly impossible to win the White House.

On the other hand, if Huckabee wins Iowa, he won’t have the time to get the resources to win New Hampshire giving Giuliani a chance to steal it from Romney, which would give Giuliani the inside track to the nomination.

I hope you are warming to the task of hounding Giuliani back to the hole he belongs in with your blog. After watching Bush win re-election, I would take NO chances about what would happen if he actually got the nomination. America cannot think for itself anymore.

Here’s the thing, I have damn good reasons why all five of the front-runners have no shot at winning the nomination, however, we know one will.

So while we have damn good reasons why none of them can win it all, we can’t be too sure of that and get complacent.

Giuliani can still win, if he can scare enough people. First he has to scare enough Republicans into thinking he’s the only one who can stop Hillary Clinton. Then he has to scare enough people into thinking Hillary Clinton is a socialist and wants to control what doctor they see. This is a lie, but it’s a lie that has worked in the past.

While he did cheat on his wife, spend tax payer money to cover it up, he is also a political bully, and that’s why he is still in the lead in the national polls.

On a side note, the only one I worry about winning is McCain. However, he’s anti-Torture, pro-immigration, and called Christian extremists hate-mongers. So he has no chance of winning.
