“Zogby Internet Poll Trial Heats are Odd”

You don’t say. I don’t know why anybody would take a Zogby poll seriously, considering their poor performance. Zogby should have long forfeited its right to be cited along other pollsters since their methodology seems to consist of throwing feces against a wall and divining poll results from that.

    Let me guess. A Zogby poll one time didn’t go hand in hand with the results you wanted, therefore his polling sucks.

    Looking at his poll results against others at Pollingreport.com, his results are pretty much in line with the others.

    You said he has the “worst polls time after time.” I’d be interested in seeing your evidence for this. This is not to say that there are times when Zogby is wrong. Sometimes poll results do not match the actual results, but nobody’s perfect.

    Zogby’s polls simply aren’t credible because he does this b.s. internet polling. Historically I should like Zogby since he forecasted Gore beating Bush and Kerry beating Bush, but the guys methodology is simply not scientific in the least. To show you how much I distrust Zogby, I think that the Fox News/Opinion Dynamics polls are much more accurate.

    Well you should be a little more specific. Zogby doesn’t always use these new internet based polls, and he didn’t in 1996, 2000 or 2004. He still uses the standard telephone method for many of his polls. For instance, check his recent results for the GOP/Dem fields at pollingreport.com

    This is an internet poll, which most people won’t even use as a predictor because they suffer from participation bias to such a huge degree.

    They. Are. Not. Scientific.

    No pollster who wants to be taken seriously would report the results, especially not with a margin or error. (MoE don’t exist for non-scientific polls as they are meaningless.)
