In fact, maybe admitting they're real is the way to finally watch them topple. They've already ridden half the way to a perfect season on the notion that they've been slighted, underappreciated, and accused of tainted championships. Maybe a hearty "You guys are the best team ever! You cannot lose!" Is the sure way to make them lose. I patiently await the admission that maybe the Patriots are for real.

In the wake of a Redskins victory, a gift, can't you put down your pitchfork and torch? The Patriots showed emphatically that the Colts did not, at any time, have the game won. They were up ten points, two possessions, with just under ten minutes to go. That game was great: intensity every minute, awesome plays by both teams, and close till the end. That game had Thrilla in Manila build-up and, shockingly, it delivered. For an NFL fan, pure gold. Oliver, Oliver, Oliver.
