I really like your commentary.

Anyway, on K-L, I think her point is, a US Senator must make decisions as if the POTUS is sane. I'm not a war person myself, but she sort of is, and that's the fact. She can't treat Bush differently than she would want to be treated, or it will come back to bite her if she gets the nod next Nov.
However, I personally found the license comment to be clear as can be. The STATES are being put in a bad position because of the FEDS. Spitzer is the state gov't, she's the fed gov't. She supports the governors doing what they've got to do on THEIR level, but HER solution at HER level is comprehensive immigration reform.
I really kinda can't figure out what's so muddled about that. It's almost two different questions. What should the states do until the feds get their act together? Whatever they need to do.
Does that explanation help? It's not at all muddled to me.

Now, I'm really writng because I seem to be the only person, R and D and you :-), who had the most problem with the library stuff.
However, I found out today that BClinton was putting out more papers than all other Presidents COMBINED and Bush passed stricter release rules that have gummed up the works.
He can release everything without knowing what he's releasing, or he can do it according to the new rules. I can't blame him for not releasing stuff without looking at it.

Anyway, I agree that this is not going to bump anyone anywhere, with the possible exception of Joe Biden.

Thanks for your thoughts, and for allowing me to share mine.
