Sure. Just stop Randy Moss, prevent Jupiter from spinning, slap Shiva into submission, and train your cat to fetch. Piece of cake.
If you hear the Patriots interviews, all you get is that the Redskins have a tough defense and are a very good team. But they aren’t believable, you know they are going to destroy the Redskins. It’s going to be very, very ugly.
It’ll be easy for the Redskins to stop Moss. All they need to do is keep him under double cov…er…triple cov…er…put the secondary on stilts.
I hope you enjoyed watching New England destroy Dallas a few days ago, because that’s what’s going to happen in the Super Bowl, too.
If I were a New England fan, I wouldn’t be getting Super Bowl boner just yet. The Pats have had the luxury thus far of a VERY easy schedule. They’ve played three of their games against the Bills, Jets and Miami. Their combined record? 3-17.
Beating Dallas was no big deal either because Dallas has had a cupcake schedule thus far. They got to play the Giants when they were dead and have won three games other games against the Bills, Miami and St. Louis. Their combined record? 2-18.
I don’t care for the Redskins, but they have a very good defense and it’s the first time the Patriots are going to play a team that has good defense. The Jets, Buffalo, Cincy, Cleveland and Miami have the worst defenses in football.
If New England can beat the Redskins and then the Colts, then they can entertain thoughts of a 16-0 season, but not yet.
Yes, by all means stop Randy Moss. Then Brady will be forced to throw to Donte Stallworth, Wes Welker, Ben Watson or Kevin Faulk coming out of the backfield.
Face it, dude, they won’t be able to stop the Pats from putting up points. The ‘Skins have a good defense this year, but they don’t have the offensive firepower to keep up. I do predict, though, that the ‘Skins’ d will keep the Pats to a “mere” 28 points. 28-14 Pats.
In response to jay:
Yes the Pats have had a very easy schedule and averaging over 41 points a game in the NFL is very easy to do. I don’t know why more teams don’t do it. And obviously beating dallas at home is no big deal because they’ve played weak teams. PLEASE. I hate the whole “weak schedule” argument. We’re talking about professional football. The difference between really good teams and really bad teams is actually pretty slim. If the pats were 8-0 with 1 or 2 blowouts your “weak schedule” argument might hold water. However the Pats have blown EVERYONE out with their highest scoring games against 2 of the top teams in the NFC.
