Right up front, I will concede that this is probably the most self indulgent thing I’ve posted in the 7 years of this blog. But oh well. This is CK, and he is the laziest dog – weiner dog or not – in the entire world, and this is what he did all of last Sunday (and is doing so this Sunday as well).
I am reminded of Mighty Manfred, the Wonder Dog ™
Oliver,
That’s not right that a dog should sleep away his/her life. He looks unhappy and unwell as well. Put a leash on that dog and take him for a 30 minute walk twice a day. It won’t hurt you either. I have two 13 year-old terriers. I’ve got them on people vitamins: B-complex, Anti-oxidants, vitamin C. I have my 25 lb. dogs on 4 grams of vitamin C per day, 2 grams am & 2 grams pm. That’s more than most people get. At least give him a gram a day, one pill. Linus Pauling was right about vitamin C, E, etc. If he doesn’t perk up, put him on some natural thyroid hormone and American ginseng. Do a web search for Schumacher’s ginseng and buy some American ginseng powder for the dog and you, too. Get that dog moving!
Oh trust me, this dog is 110% healthy. He’s more active than the average dog and goes for a walk at least twice a day. When he’s lazy is when his papa (Me) does the Sunday thing where we sit on the couch and watch 6+ hours of football.
As far as happiness? The G.D. dog is delirious.
that dog is depressed. sad.
Depressed? LOL.
But seriously, please don’t try to play dog psychologist from a 2 minute web video I put up.
So is he neglecting his homework and his chores? What, exactly, is he supposed to do with his day? Where is his blanket? Where is his remote?
I agree that it is rather ridiculous to offer sweeping statements on a dog’s health based on a short video (unless you’re Bill Frist, of course). The dog looks comfortably snoozy to me. My greyhound/heeler mix sleeps about 22 1/2 hours a day, interspersed with short intervals of running around the back yard at the speed of light. He would look just as sleepy as CK most of the day, and he’s a healthy young dog.
