Dallas made a hell of a contest for New England yesterday, and they still got smoked. I don’t think they can go 16-0, but these Patriots are playing some excellent fundamental football.

Who? I hope you don’t mean the Cowboys. Of the previous five teams the Cowboys played, they defeated two teams that haven’t won a game, and only one team with a .500 record or better.

The combined records of the five teams the Cowboys played before the Pats was 6 – 22. No wonder they were 5 – 0.

On the other hand, before today the five teems the Pats had beaten had a combined total of 9 – 19. Again, no big surprise they were 5 – 0, however, they all won every game by at least two touchdowns and did the same today.

Given the evidence, I still say the Patriots have not had to face a good team.

That is not to say the Patriots are bad, but they are not as good as their record indicates because their opponents have been so bad.

I don’t remember him saying that. I remember him saying the Pats were not as good as their record would indicate, and I agree.
