Conservatives Want You To Curl Up And Die When You’re Winning

When I see conservatives plaintively wailing about those big mean Democrats, I can only roll my eyes. The right has debased and lowered American discourse, and I don’t see any elevation coming soon, so I say give as good as you get. When that happens, cons always suddenly discover “civility”, then at the same time you’ve got a conservative talk show host going on the conservative Fox News channel calling Sen. Barack Obama a jihadist terrorist.

Civility, my ass.

    I believe that if the Democrats can keep the Republican party to under 200 EC votes, they might be able to kill it, permanently.

    The NeoCons will blame the religious right for taking the party too far to the extreme.

    Meanwhile, the religious right will blame the lose on abandoning their warped version of Christian values.

    Also, if it appears the Republican party has no power, there’s little reason for the religious right to stay with them. The cost of creating a third party is much, much lower.

    This schism would kill the Republican party. Eventually the right would regain power, but under a very different form, possibly a different name. Hopefully it will be more like Goldwater and Bush.

    Just a little addendum, the Democrats would also need strong gains in the House and probably even a filibuster proof majority in the Senate for this to happen.

    Especially laughable is the accusations of “trumped up” scandal and phony outrage.

    Btw, the latest non-trumped up, non-phony outrage on the totally principled and civil right-wing? Barrack Obama does not wear a flag lapel and therefore HATES AMERICA!!!!!!
