We Must Ask: Is Fred Thompson Senile?

Fred Thompson said this about the John Roberts confirmation:

image“We fought hard against each other, but I always thought that we had mutual respect. And that’s what it takes.

“Even though the other party controlled the Judiciary committee, we got some votes there. For a good, sound, what I would call conservative justice.”

The Republicans were in the majority and in control of the Judiciary committee.

Even worse, Fred Thompson was personally tasked by the White House with shepherding Roberts’ nomination through. He didn’t just watch this on TV: HE WAS THERE.

And yet, he has no clue what actually happened.

UPDATE: No wonder he’s supporting Rush Limbaugh

    Maybe Thompson is sticking up for Rush because he is also an old dirty, whoring, third-world sex tourist? Keep buying that contraband Viagra, Rush!

    Thompson also believes that Iraq had WMDs. The Republican detachment from reality isn’t just a figure of speech. It’s very real and very pervasive.
