Ron Paul: For Real?
Well, he won’t get the nomination, but if you’re counting money as campaign heft, Ron Paul far outweighs Mike Huckabee and is equivalent to John McCain. Clearly, the 9/11 Truthers are having some revenge.

Your depth of political acumen is pretty shallow is you think this is all due to “9/11 truthers having some revenge”.
Instead of making wild assumptions, go to a Ron Paul rally (that regulalrly outnumber other GOP candidate’s rallies, in terms of sheer attendance) and speak with those who show up. You’ll find many, many people who are Republicans in the traditional sense..they favor non interventionism, fiscal conservatism, limited government and constitutional liberties. NO OTHER GOP candidate is offering that.
Well, that’s true. No other GOP candidate is offering much of anything right now.

I think Oliver was just tweaking the Pauliens.
However, Ron Paul’s supporters are not that numerous. He’s like Romney, but with only a fraction of the money and no leads in the early states.
This figure might get him some media time, but for most voters, the more they know about Ron Paul, the less they like him.

Ron Paul is WINNING THE POLLS. He will therefore GET THE NOMINATION.
He did not design or pay for a Gallup or Harrison poll to be conducted, and then covered by the MSM, which is what the rest of the candidates seem to be relying on, quite heavily.
If Ron Paul and Hilary get the nominations, it will be ironic to have a Republican who voted against the war and a Democrat who voted for it.

It will also be interesting to live on Mars or in an alternate reality, which is the only place Ron Paul is getting any kind of nomination.
“Ron Paul is WINNING THE POLLS.”
It’s a fucking straw poll, and some of these have only a few hundred participants. They are meaningless.
On the other hand, the really big straw polls, like in Michigan or Iowa, his performance is a lot less impressive.
