Republicans Try To Protect Blackwater

Why? How much money is Blackwater throwing around to their campaigns? Why do House Republicans feel they should support this sort of behavior?

Guards working in Iraq for Blackwater USA have shot innocent Iraqi civilians and have sought to cover up the incidents, sometimes with the help of the State Department, a report to a Congressional committee said today.

The report, based largely on internal Blackwater e-mail messages and State Department documents, depicts the security contractor as being staffed with reckless, shoot-first guards who were not always sober and did not always stop to see who or what was hit by their bullets.

In one incident, the State Department and Blackwater agreed to pay $15,000 to the family of a man killed by “a drunken Blackwater contractor,” the report said. As a State Department official wrote, “We would like to help them resolve this so we can continue with our protective mission.”

And why won’t the media report on Blackwater’s connection to Mitt Romney?

This story is outrageous. The total disregard for human life by Blackwater is a reflection of our current administration’s attitude toward the lives and well-being of Iraqis.

Another reason for the world to hate us and for young Muslims to seek Al-Queda. Americans aren’t the only ones who believe in Justice. Oh crap! Does that last sentence mean I’m in the same ideological bed as the terrorists?

How can you speak out against our brave young mercenaries in Iraq? If anything, their uniquely capitalist perspective on war is even more American than our military.

What a racket, they get paid in our tax dollars and use that money to bribe Republican’ts in the form of campaign contributions.
But the good news is that after investigating themselves they have absolved themselves in any wrong doing.
