The Washington Post reports that with the end of the third quarter, Romney will have raised a total $40 million to date from outside donors plus $15 million from his own personal fortune.

The real story is how Romney raises money like mad and still can’t get Republican support in the polls.
“The real story is how Romney raises money like mad and still can’t get Republican support in the polls.”
He’s raised less money in 9 months than Hillary or Obama did in the first 3.
That said, if he can win in Iowa and use that to win in New Hampshire, he could become unstoppable.
Heres hoping!
Better his own money than from …who’s that guy? ..Hsu? Again, all other Republican candidates would rather be in Romney’s shoes, in a heartbeat, in terms of money and poll positions especially in IA, NH, NV, MI …and NOW,…SC!!!!!!…where he leads ……..Woooooh! GO ROMNEY!
Yes, would be sweet if republicans nominate someone who their x-tianist base thinks is a dangerous cult member.
Personally I think all religions are cults but will look forward to a 70% mandate for the Democratic candidate for President over multiple-choice Mitt.
Well, Enlightened Liberal, let me enlighten (pun? of course!) the labyrinths of your dark leftist brain. First, and foremost, the Democratic party has its own member of the “dangerous cult” of which you speak - Harry Reid! Therefore, when - NOT “If” - Romney gets to the general elections, it’s over - he will be the next president! Religion, which seems to be Romney’s hurdle (according to you and many others) will NOT be an issue after the primaries. Ironically, it’s only an issue with the Republican party; hence the primaries. In case you haven’t known, the Democrats have named Romney as the candidate they would least like to face in the general elections! They have therefore attacked Romney more than any other Republican candidate - they have also created a website committed entirely to attacks on Romney - No other Republican candidate has had this done to him by the Dems. You ask: “Why?” Well, the more you know about the facts about Romney, his life, his experience (executive experience both public and private sectors), his intelligence, his character, etc., etc., his competence will surface. Billary, I mean Hillary, will pale in comparison to Romney’s qualifications and skills. Go to http://www.romney.com to learn more about our next president.
Maybe there are so many attacks on Romney because…wait for it…there is so much to attack!!! Unless you’re ok with someone who is for choice before he was against it…for universal healthcare before he was against it…for gay rights before he was against it.
Fact is, none of your candidates have any chance of winning. Least of all Romney, who has no grassroots support (is that you Mitt?).
I firmly believe that you desperately need serious enlightenment. I like how you start your response with the word “MAYBE”. What does that mean? It means a lot of things: “maybe” means that don’t know enough about Mitt Romney, “maybe” means you do lack confidence in your position and arguments, “maybe” entails fickleness and doubt about your own political leanings; “maybe” suggests ignorance which is evidenced in the same empty flip flop accusations of Romney.
And then not to be outdone by the “maybe” claim, you presented an opinion as a fact in your “Fat is” paragraph.
Sorry, but I don’t think highly of people who claim to be enlightened, but are downright STUPID!
No actually I was implying “maybe” you’re a moron. But in reading your last post, you’re right, I should have confidence in my first instincts.
You are a moron.
I’m thinking dan doesn’t live in Massachusetts.
Notice how he’ll just criticize your writing and not necessarily the substance.
“Romney gets to the general elections,”
This could happen, but it’s a coin toss. He has to win most of the early states and make sure Giuliani doesn’t win any. Right now the polls support this, but it is too close to call. One misstep in Iowa, and it is all gone.
“.SC!!!!!!…where he leads”
Uhh… he leads in one poll in S.C. where he jumped from 9% to 26% in one month. I would wait at least one month before trumpeting this result as it could be an anomaly.
For instance, Rasmussen has him in third place down by 9% to Thompson. (However, a Thompson win here is good enough to help in win the nomination.)
“it’s over - he will be the next president! Religion, which seems to be Romney’s hurdle (according to you and many others) will NOT be an issue after the primaries.”
Two points:
1.) Why wouldn’t it be an issue? Many Evangelical Christians think Catholicism is a cult run by Satan, they don’t consider Mormons to be any better. Sure, maybe the hardcore faithful will bite their tongues and vote for him on election day, but they won’t volunteer and help create that massive GOTV machine that won the Republicans the last two elections.
2.) He’s down in the polls to nearly every Democratic Candidate by massive margins.

I’m not sure he could beat Richardson.
