Do you remember when Howard Dean was elected chairman of the DNC, the brilliant minds on the right who get everything wrong told us that his “extreme” brand of politics would lead to disaster for the party, and he would have a brief tenure as party chairman.
Fast forward to 2007, and Howard Dean is presiding over a Democratic party that has captured the House and Senate, out-raises the RNC, and is well-positioned to win a presidential election. The RNC’s chairman, on the other hand, seems to be on the way out.
Sen. Mel Martinez, the reluctant general chairman of the Republican National Committee, is planning to step down as soon as a presidential nominee emerges, party insiders say.
The people who are wrong about everything are wrong again. News at 11.
The hardcore, nutjob right (I’m looking at you, RedState)never liked Martinez in the first place. Name ends in “z”. Kinda, um…off-white, if you get my drift.
