Mitt Romney Failing In New Hampshire
Tweet
One of the arguments from the Romney supporters (ie, Hugh Hewitt) has been that while Romney has almost no traction nationally, he’s ahead in the states that matter – Iowa and New Hampshire. Those statements are no longer operative for The Chin.
The latest WMUR/CNN New Hampshire Primary Poll shows that among likely Republican voters, Mitt Romney has dropped to 23 percent support, down from 33 percent in July. Rudy Giuliani is right behind at 22 percent, up from 18 percent.
Bush: "Childrens Do Learn"
No surprise, but the President Of The United States is a farking idiot.
As a candidate, George W. Bush once asked, “Is our children learning?”
On Wednesday, he had an answer.
“Childrens do learn,” he said.
The setting was, yes, an education event where the president was taking credit for rising test scores and promoting congressional renewal of his signature education law. To create the right image, he summoned the city’s school chancellor, a principal, some teachers and 20 eager students from P.S. 76.
The visual worked fine. The oral? Not so much. For Bush, it was a classic malapropism, the sort of verbal miscue that occasionally bedevils him in public speaking and provides his critics easy fodder for ridicule.

Democratic Donations Surge
Tweet
Things change.
Beneath those broad numbers lies harder evidence suggesting a Democratic financial tsunami is building.
The total number of donors who gave more than $200 in the first six months of this year to Democrats was 137,388 compared to 81,075 givers to Republicans, the Campaign Finance Institute study found.
If history serves as a guide, many of those primary donors will be inherited by the party nominee next year, much as Democrat Howard Dean’s Internet activists stuck with nominee John F. Kerry in 2004.
“The Democratic nominee will begin with an unprecedented fundraising base and will be able to draw on the unprecedented fundraising bases of other Democrats. That will make for a very powerful force,” said Anthony Corrado, a political fundraising expert who serves on the Campaign Finance Institute’s board.

From The Today Show: Media Matters’ Waldman: “[I]f Bill O’Reilly got caught robbing a bank he would say he was taken out of context”
I’ve been at Media Matters since the launch in 2003, and I can’t tell you how many times when these conservatives, faced for the first time with having to take account for their words, whine and complain and cry that they were “taken out of context”.
Bush The Drag

In this instance it’s Minnesota’s Norm Coleman, running hard away from Bush after years of blind support. But there will be more. Up and down the ticket, from congressional seats up to the presidency. The stench of Bush permeates the Republican party.

I tend to disagree with the dominant media narrative on Redskins owner Dan Snyder (I think he wants to win, which is more than a lot of owners who just want to cash the big checks) but I gotta say the whole idea of this interview with him on Comcast with people he’s got so many connections to stunk to high heaven. Snyder’s not a public official, but he could do a little better. If anything get someone from the NBC, Fox, CBS, ESPN or HBO NFL shows to do the job and it would come off as much more honest.
