Rudy’s campaign seems to be based on two propositions. He owns 9/11 and he’s the only Republican capable of stopping the daughter of Satan. Otherwise it’s if you liked Bush you’ll love Rudy. All somewhat questionable grounds I would have thought.

Actually, you’re both wrong.

Giuliani wins the red states that Bush won for one reason-no one in them can actually bring themselves to vote for the Cackle.

One of the reasons it’s fun to watch Democrats pan Giuliani is to watch the fear break out. It’s not New York and California we’re aiming at. We’re not acutally as dumb as that. There’s a reason why Oliver is a blogger and the professionals actually run campaigns.

Rudy runs well in Jersey, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and the Upper Midwest, all states that Hillary needs (and she needs a straight flush with her negatives, btw) to win. Rudy’s moderate stances on social issues will appeal to the center. And let’s face, his trump card is this: he’s actually RUN something and turned New York around. Hillary picked china patterns in the WH for eight years.

We haven’t quite gotten round to the fact that she’s never actually done anything. Don’t worry. We will. You all are going to end up looking stupid for not having nominated Obama, who could have won.

Also, he would be more competitive than Bush in New York and California, but not enough to put them in play. Meanwhile, he does weaker in Virginia, Arkansas, Tennessee... oops, that's the election. Democrats win. (Side note, Hillary Clinton is now the best candidate to beat the Republicans. The only cases where she's not, she's still ahead by 10%.)
