Whatever else may be said the Bush years have been a time of fear and playing on fear in American politics. 9-11, WMDs, Terrorism, Anthrax mail, Katrina. Played over and over again. I think the country is tired of it. Someone needs to come out and simply say, 7 years of fear has been enough, I am here to restore this country to greatness, to restore our status in the free world and to let our citizens know we don't have to cower in the basement holding our duct tape. You cut and run, and we will shoot you in the back before the enemy does.
