The Conspiracy Against The Right Continues
Tweet
Media Research Center is OUTRAGED that Amazon.com is promoting a book from CNN’s Jack Cafferty. This surely isn’t because Amazon promotes books by authors who sell from all sorts of political persuasions, no, it’s because Amazon.com is LIBERAL and does LIBERAL things. Bwahahahahahahaha!

Jack Cafferty a LIBERAL?!? When the heck did this happen?!?
I was going to say the same thing. That “article” is preposterous on many levels. It assumes that Amazon is liberal, that CNN is liberal, and that Cafferty himself is liberal. Amazon actually favors Red candidates by 60% according to Buy Blue, while Barnes and Nobel actually donates nearly 100% to Blue. CNN is trying to out fox Fox News in salacious and empty headlines. And Cafferty was one of the wars biggest supporters in the lead up in 2002.
Brent Bozoll?
LMFAO!
Forgive me if I don’t bother reading MRC’s lunacy – I don’t give a constipated crap what they think about anything. That said, it was more than a little unseemly for CNN to let Puppy Blitzer to “interview” Cafferty about his book during the Situation Room show where Cafferty is the resident analyst/curmudgeon.
If CNN wants to promote Cafferty’s book, let him pimp it on Larry King like everybody else.
Being a wingnut is kind of like being an Amway salesman. No matter what other people tell you and no matter what lack of success you have in Amway, Amway tells you that they are all losers, that YOU will win in the end. If there is an article against Amway, they are dismissed as being anti-Amway. Amway people are told to get rid of all their non-Amway friends and to confide only in Amway people.
Wingnuttery is the same thing. Amazon, CNN, and Jack Cafferty are “liberal” because they sometimes present a viewpoint that is in conflict with the wingnut worldview. It’s not even an opinion issue, if ANYTHING at Amazon disagrees with the narrative “liberals suck, conservatives rule” than they are painted as libs against America. Even for a news agency to say how many soldiers have died in Iraq paints them as liberals.
Check out “Confessions of a Dittohead” sometime. It’s a short read, and chronicles how wingnuts process information contradicting their viewpoint. And see it on display at newsbusters and anywhere wingnuts congregate.
Even if one agrees that this promotion shows a left-wing bias on amazon.com’s part, why would a group called the Media Research Center care? What I mean by this is that amazon.com is not a media outlet.
Amazon.com is promoting a book?
Oh. My. God. Next you’ll tell me that Coca-Cola wants people to drink sugar water.
Not that this snark deserves this kind of effort, but for the record:
Media: one of the means or channels of general communication, information, or entertainment in society, as newspapers, radio, or television.
Amazon sells books. Books are a means of general communication. A Book is a medium of delivering said general information. Taken as a plural, books are media.
