    That’s what the “mainstream media” is “programming” us to think.
    That’s why Fox “News” is in damage control mode, airing emergency fluff bios on Patraeus.

    “…brilliant military leader.”

    If a supposedly non-biased news organization used the subjective term “brilliant” to describe a general who 1. led a war that Republicans despised and 2. led that war during a Democratic administration (Kosovo is an example that comes to mind for both 1. and 2.), the righties would be screaming “liberal bias!” at the top of their lungs.

    This argument assumes that right-wingers need a REASON to scream “liberal bias” at the top of their lungs. Which is of course absurd. :)
