In Virginia, Sen. Clinton has a lead over the Republican field. Factor in a frontrunning Democratic candidate for senator in Mark Warner and Virginia can very credibly make its transition to a blue state official.

Warner has a huge lead for the Senate, so hopeful his campaigning will boost the Democrats chances for the president here. That will encourage both campaigns to work hard.
I think one of the reasons why Allen lost to Webb. His lead was so big so early, he thought he didn’t have to work. Here, Warner will be working to get a Democrat in the White House.
Also, Minnesota is nearly gone blue. And I mean blue as opposed to purple. It should be close enough to campaign in, which should help the Democratic senate contender overtake Coleman as well.
