She could have been sexy as hell in something like those power suits Madonna wore in "Express Yourself," for example. For me the issue is that she looked nervous and bored up there, and could barely ratchet up the energy to properly lip-sync to her own single. She didn't look like the commanding stage presence she used to be...I'm not a fan of her music, but you look at her old live performances and it was clear she knew how to handle a stage then. She phoned this one in, and it was arguably the one performance in her career where she absolutely needed all of her cylinders firing. The performance? Brit miscalculated how much/how many it would take to "take the edges off." That scottish guy on CBS's late, late show had it right when he announced that he was gonna lay off Brit because she's battling an illness. I think the poor girl should be on suicide watch.
