If we win enough seats, Lieberman may just quit altogether and just let Jodi Rell appoint his replacement. Then, of course, there would be a special election in ten.

But I'm excited about our Dem's prospects next year.It looks like the only thing that Republicans could count on is Georgia and Alabama. There's stirrings in Texas, some life still in Louisiana. Kentucky is slowly returning to the Dems.

Not only will Warner win for the Democrats in the Senate, but its 13 EC votes would mean the Dems would need just one more pickup to win the White House. Arkansas, Iowa, New Mexico, are all leaning to the Democrats. In fact, they could win it without California.

Man, a blue Virginia with two popular Dems would be sweet. And if we gain one more seat somewhere, we can kick Lieberman out of our caucus and into Republican minoritydom.
