Once again we have a Republican telling us about the hate that’s really in his heart instead of the dog and pony shows so many other national Republicans put on. Rep. Bill Sali (of Idaho) is simply enraged that a Muslim (Rep. Keith Ellison of Minnesota) has been allowed into the House of Representatives. Rep. Salli just believes that having a Muslim in that office is something the founders died to prevent.
Rep. Bill Sali, today’s Republican Bigot Eruption!
Not only does Sali not want Moooslem in Congress, he also thinks it’s wrong for Hindooos to even give an opening meditation. Sali must agree with these protestors.
But let’s be fair, most Hindoos are brown too. It’s hard for our god-fearing white Xtian leaders to distinguish all these goofy-ass wog religions.
Agree with your general point, but don’t think its fair to use Sen. Byrd’s picture to illustrate your point.
Actually, that’s Ronald Reagan kicking off his 1980 campaign in Philadelphia, MS. STATES RIGHTS!!! STATES RIGHTS!!!
By the way, did Reagan ever apologize for “reaching out” to racist conservative Southerners? Probably not; he was too busy funding Central American death squads and protecting Cuban terrorists and appeasing Hezbollah.
What’s with this crap about the US being founded on Christian principles? The Bible only speaks of anointed monarchs and the KINGdom of Heaven. It wasn’t until Enlightenment philosophers began to challenge the religiously inspired claptrap of the divine right of kings that democratic ideas began to take hold in the Western world.
What’s with this crap about the US being founded on Christian principles?
It provides cover for asshole-ism.
O-Dub, your news source is a blog I’ve never heard of and their source is “One News Now” — a source I’ve also never heard of AND the site doesn’t load.
haha.
He states when a Hindu prayer is offered, “that’s a different god” and that it “creates problems for the longevity of this country.”
Holy cow!
@ Dugger:
Better hustle over to Newsweek.com, Bud. They’re committing linguistic bigotry over there.
Thanks Quaker. That would be the Newsweek of ‘global cooling” and we must soot the polls fame, right?
And I notice OW used it above. But I’m sure no association with holocaust deniers is intended.
“It is very evident
these intentions are well meant.”
I see. Never mind what they are reporting now. Let’s talk about what they printed 30 years ago.
Bill Sali is 100% correct !!!
Look up your history and you will find the FIRST enemy to attack Amricans were MOSLEMS.
Read the history of the war against the Barbaric moslems. It was America’s first war against the “pirates of the Barbary Coast”. If you dare, read further what Thomas Jefferson and William Eaton had to say about the “mussselman”.
