Jeri Thompson Continues Her Decimation Of Fred Thompson’s Campaign Team

Because she’s a Republican, the media will never treat Jeri Thompson in the same shameful manner they have Hillary Clinton, but the Not Ready For Primetime Campaign of Hollywood actor Fred Thompson had yet another person jump ship.

Another aide to Fred Thompson’s campaign-in-waiting resigned last night, two sources close to the campaign confirm. Tom Frechette had been effectively serving as campaign manager Tom Collamore’s deputy. Collamore was removed from his post Tuesday and given a "senior adviser" role.  Like Collamore, Frechhette was said to have chafed under the heavy influence of Thompson’s wife, Jeri.

If he were a Democrat, they’d already be writing his obituary, but Thompson is a Republican so the media has decided that his inept campaign is demonstrating genuine leadership.

Nobody tells Frederick of Hollywood what to do — that is, except for the Lord of Slumberland!

O.K., It’s starting to get a little clearer to me what is going on with Fredrick of Hollywood.
His attractive, trophy wife is power hungry and she so badly wants to be sleeping in the White House, so she is using Fredrick of Hollywood to fulfil her lust for power. What else could a young, attractive woman see in such an ugly, washed up old man besides his wealth (which she could get from a younger, verile man)?
It’s the power she wants. I bet she’s the one who came up with the idea of him running for President, and perhaps like all the other old men with young wives, he’s going along with it in order to keep the relationship.
Same thing with Rudy’s third wife. She married the power too.

I know Oliver isn’t a fan of George Lakoff, but the Democrats could knock down the “strict father” stereotype here. It would use the Rovian tactic of going after one’s opponent’s strengths. Somehow, however, I think the other Republican candidates, namely Guiliani and Romney, will do this first.

I think Jon Stewart was right. Fred! is gonna announce his candidacy and drop out of the race at the same press conference.

    I’m in total shock.

After bankrolling the futile “Oven” Mitt Romney for almost a year, in which he’s spent GOP money like a drunken sailor in a Subic Bordello, I was REALLY REALLY hoping for Fredrick of Hollywood to take the reins as the designated GOP candidate.

It’s really starting to look like he is just not ready for prime time on national TV, but only for late-night re-runs.

This would leave…. Rudy Giuliani?? Of all people, as the GOP ‘08 Presidential puke?

    The Dem Gods are smiling.

Rudy, is as they say in Top-Gun school, a “target-rich environment”.

There are no viable Republican candiates. They might as well nominate Tom DeLay in the primaries and be done with it.

But my gut keeps saying Hillary will be the next Pres., even when I see BO rockin’ a crowd.

Fred Thompson’s hopes of winning are just about DEAD!

He hired that weasel Spencer Abraham
See How conservatives feel about this hire

I see all these Republican candidates and I have come to the conclusion that there is no one wingnutty enough for their base. Their base is so off their rockers that they’re too conservative for anyone the Republicans could run. Congratulations, wingnuts. After 2008 America is done listening to you and back to pointing and laughing at you.

OK, but if Bush had the stones to cancel the election and declare himself dictator they’d fall in love all over.
