They Just Hate Immigrants

In Maryland we had this horrible case this week where charges were dismissed against a child molester because a speaker of the accused’s language could not be found to provide translation. Really sick. But in the eyes of professional idiot Michelle Malkin this is really really bad because it was an “Accused immigrant child molester”. Yes folks, like the other crimes the right repeatedly highlights nowadays in order to produce a wedge issue for the 2008 election, this crime would be no big deal unless it was an IMMIGRANT!!!! BOOGEDY BOOGEDY BOOOOOOO!!!!

Gawd.

Be prepared for a rash of truly horrible crimes in America: IMMIGRANT robbery, IMMIGRANT rape, and IMMIGRANT speeding!!!

    There is something obviously being left out of the newspaper account. How could it be that a guy that can attend high school and community college must have a translator for Vai?

    What you are going to see is more stories about non-citizen immigrants who have committed crimes, served some sentence or not, and then go on to commit more crimes. The Right wing bloggers want to make the point that criminal immigrants who are not citizens should be sent be sent packing back to the crappy countries they came from.

    You can tell when someone is racist when they bring up race at inappropriate times. In these debates, the term, “immigrant” is being used as a proxy for race.

    What I find ironic is if Michelle Malkin’s side got its way, Michelle Malkin would be thrown out of the country.

    Not left out! Try looking on page 2:

    The matter was resolved after a court-appointed psychiatrist who evaluated Kanneh recommended that an interpreter be appointed.

    This paragraph was immediately after the one you quoted, jerry. I don’t know how you missed it.

    I’d chalk this up to a clever defense and a stupid judge. If you can speak English well enough to attend college, then you don’t need an interpreter.
