There they go again.
Former state legislator Coy C. Privette, a Cabarrus County commissioner and retired Baptist minister, was charged Thursday with soliciting prostitution, authorities said.
Privette, 74, of Kannapolis, was charged with six counts of misdemeanor aiding and abetting prostitution by renting a hotel room and paying for sexual acts, according to State Bureau of Investigation Agent Kevin Canty. Tiffany Denise Summers, 32, of Salisbury, was charged with six counts of prostitution, Canty said.
“Privette has been one of the state’s most vocal opponents against alcohol sales and legal gambling.”
I guess whores are okay, then?
Dude, come on. You can’t have one without the other. Prohibition’s making a comeback?
Why blast the fellow for picking up hookers? He’s 74. He can get it up! Heck, what’s wrong with a little hypocrisy to keep the old ticker tocking?
“Privette has been one of the state’s most vocal opponents against alcohol sales and legal gambling.”
He supports the illegal kind, then? Seriously, I don’t get it.
As someone with a front-row seat for this episode, I have to say it is really sweet. Ol’ Coy has been the self-appointed moral arbiter of our little corner of the world for years. He fought liquor-by-the-drink for decades, and it was a long time getting here (Bars in the Bible Belt? God forbid!) And he raised holy hell about a production of “Angels in America” here in Charlotte. He’s done his best to dictate how the rest of us should live–and now the old hypocrite gets caught with a hooker. ROTFLMAO!
It is tragic that things like this have to happen. I was saved several years ago and I know that not everyone who gets saved actually follows the Lord with their whole heart. Its wrong to judge the Bible based on what some people do, I hope you know!
