Bush administration crackpot lawyer John Yoo is making the argument that Bush doesn’t need authorization to go to war with Iran. If you will remember, the administration floated the idea before the invasion of Iraq that they didn’t need authorization for a war, because the original Gulf War authorization still flew. This is the kind of made-up legal theory the right worships as gospel, and the same theories that let terrorists go scot free.
This would be the same John Woo who was for torture, only to later change his mind and decide it wasn’t right. The same John Woo who supported and touted administrations march to war w/ Iraq, only to later decide maybe it was wrong?
What – is he just addicted to having his name in the news and being a talking head? He just can’t walk away? Geez.
