Our Government has been keeping security sensitive materials on unprotected FTP servers where anybody with an internet connection could look at them. The link above is to the article itself. Former Surgeon General Richard H. Carmona told a Congressional committee today that top officials in the Bush administration repeatedly tried to weaken or suppress important public health reports because of political considerations. Dr. Carmona, who served as surgeon general from 2002 to 2006, said White House officials would not allow him to speak or issue reports about stem cells, emergency contraception, sex education, or prison, mental and global health issues because of political concerns. Top administration officials delayed for years and attempted to “water down” a landmark report on secondhand tobacco smoke, he said in sworn testimony before the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform.

My pooches are also appreciate Dogs Against Romney and they were born in a Republican state (or it was when they were born). Here's a link for you about a science blogger who interviewed John Edwards last week about Edwards' views on Science and Technology policy. That's a first, but then Edwards is way ahead out on the issues too.

I saw this story and thought to myself, I knew Virginia would be in play in 2008, but I didn’t think Clinton could win it. Then I realized they were talking about West Virginia.

That’s a nearly 20-point swing from 2004.

Granted, early numbers that don’t include Bloomberg, Thompson, etc. But the numbers are encouraging.

Remember the discussion we had about the 360, PS3, etc? I said Sony would probably cut the price of the PS3 by $100-$150 by Christmas to move units. They aren't even waiting that long. They just cut prices $100. I'll tell you what. If they go another $100, which I suspect they will at some point, I might go ahead and grab one. At $400, you're talking a good deal with the integrated Blu-Ray player.
