Snappy Answers To Stupid Questions

GOP "Web 2.0" guru David All seems to be gloating about Republican pols being on Twitter more than Democrats. He links to a post asking "where is nancy".

A: Nancy Pelosi is too busy being Speaker Of The House Of Representatives to eff around with freaking Twitter.

Tell ya what, Repubs can have twitter, we’ll take MoveOn, ActBlue, DailyKos, etc. etc. etc… ^__^

  2. El Cid says:

Hey, since Nancy Pelosi is 3rd in line in succession to the President, does this mean that the Speaker of the House is part of both the Executive & Legislative Branch, thus a 5th Branch of Gov’t which is unaccountable to anyone just like Cheney, Mr. Fourth Branch?

  3. merlallen says:

    What is Twitter?

  4. Nimrod Gently says:

It’s a green…thing where you say what you’re doing to the world on the Internet.

    WEB TWO POINT OHâ„¢

  5. Duros62 says:

    What is Twitter?

    Another time-killer. Like MySpace.

And if I understand Cheney correctly, Pelosi is now 2nd in line.

  6. John says:

Showing up on a site called Twitter isn’t something to be proud of. After all, being mentioned frequently would just mean that you are a big twit.

  7. Thad says:

Oh hey, Bonzo’s still around? I kinda lost track of that guy after his first post where he didn’t know Johnny Ramone was dead.

  8. Is it me or is there a huge stench of desperation in Web-to-Ohs’ neener-neenerism?

The stench doubles with the update when the prat brays “Man, the liberals are getting pissed…,” meaning Oliver wrote a post so all liberals are pissed.

Oliver, when did you become “the liberals”?

  9. Quaker in a Basement says:

    What? The GOP has Twitter?

Shoot. We might as well just disband the Democratic party then.

  10. Maybe it’s me, but I have to figure that anybody who gets so excited about Twitter is a) “blogging” about opening a can of peas or going to get his oil changed by typing quick messages with one hand, and b) keeping a glossy Glamour Shot of their other hand in their wallet.

  11. Steve Rhodes says:

Twitter was created by (and used heavily by) people who live in Nancy’s district.

And yes, she and many other people should be on twitter.

It actually can be useful for organizing particularly on a local level.

It allows people to get messages in the way they want to.

Unfortunately, they didn’t publish my comment saying the GOP hardly dominates twitter. If anything does right now, it is the iPhone.

Thompson only has 300 followers while Edwards has 2800 and Obama 3300.
