Oh, my. And good re-frame by Hilly. I know she’s satan and all that, but I love her. But what do I know, I only live in the state she represents…
So how is this in any way productive? I don’t know the whole context of the interview but it appears that he asked her a legitimate question and the audience interrupted her answer. He’s none the wiser. He will continue to have his perch among Washington elite media. His view of the hard left might be even more negative. Why does this appeal to you?
Cause Tweety’s both ridiculous and destructive, and he needs to know it. For too long these guys have only heard criticism from the right, and they modified themselves based on it. They need to know it’s coming from both sides. Hopefully it will encourage them to actually start doing their jobs instead just passing along right wing talking points, as Tweety did so disastrously in the runup to the Iraq war.
Jay Leno gives better interviews.
Matthews may not be perfect, but I’ve always prefered him to 95 percent of others in his job. He’s a centrist to be sure, but he also openly opposed the invasion of Iraq on the air when few (I can’t remember any) television hosts or pundits were willing to do so. He also aggresively reported the Plame scandal on his show, when few other hosts were focusing on the issue.
As I said, he isn’t perfect, but he is no Sean Hannity.
I guess the mark of a centrist is someone who pisses off both sides, Eric so at one level I agree with you. On the other hand, Chris is too easy to accept RNC talking points and frames and integrate them into his interviews. It just seems lazy sometimes. And would he just for once wait for someone else to answer before he starts his next question.
I guess the mark of a centrist is someone who pisses off both sides,…
Or perhaps someone down on his knees for both sides, which seems to be the case with Tweety.
