Hillary In Texas

The idea that Sen. Clinton is even remotely competitive in Texas has got to be pretty amazing. Sure, it’s early yet but another early poll had Giuliani getting crushed in the Northeast where he’s supposed to be the GOPer most likely to win blue states. Maybe 2002 and 2004 were the anomalies and we’re seeing the resurgence of the “Emerging Democratic Majority”.
Either way, I still think there’s about an 80% chance the next president is a Democrat.

If the Democrats win Texas, look for the hardcore Christian right to form a third party in 2012.
… Maybe even the Libertarians like Ron Paul will try to for there own party.
Why not?
Texas needs good government, too.
Come to think of it, after Bush, Perry, Cornyn, and DeLay, Texas needs good government DESPERATELY.

Lest you forget prior to GWB election as governor no thanks to Rove’s electoral shenanigans and the Delay redistricitng crap…Texas was a pretty BLUE State for decades…..no lie homie
Here is a list of governors from Texas …almost 90 percent of them were Democrats…
21/25 governors since 1900 have been DEMS….

3 out of the last 4 since 1986 have been Republicans.
Since 1994, the Governor’s Mansion has been occupied by a Republican.
Hillary might run better in Texas than Rudy might run in the Northeast. As much as the Republicans have pissed off their fiscal conservative/moderate social base (of which, I consider myself), there’s no way in hell Hillary has a chance of winning in Texas.
Only 80%? I am convinced it is 100%; I wrote months ago that the Democrats could run a crash test dummy and still win. I have predicted a huge win, and see reason to back down on that prediction now.
“there’s no way in hell Hillary has a chance of winning in Texas.”
She has a chance to be competitive enough to cause the Republicans to spend a lot of money to defend it. That alone would be a win. After all, every dollar they spend in Texas is one less dollar they spend in, New Mexico, for instance. And New Mexico is definitely in play.
