Because, if I remember my history, Karl Marx was born in 1818, and his political-economic theory was put into place until the late-19th Century, with actual violence of any kind coming at the turn of the 20th century. So, basically they’ve had about 100 years of time to even attempt violence.

So, please give me the numbers - what atrocities and how many victims at their hands, compared to the last 4000 years at least of violence and horror in the name of a diety. Not just Christians, Muslims, and Jews, but Hindus, Sieks, Shintos, Taoists, Pagans, Norse, Meso-American tribes and empires, etc.

Or did you mean just in the last century? Even if that’s the case, start citing numbers.

Look, the reason the discussion jumps to and focuses on religion is because there are more religious people in the world right now than there are doctrinaire Marxists, and more violent religious extremists in the world right now than there are Che Guevaras.

Doctrinaire Marxists do not pose anything nearing the threat of violent religious extremists in the world right now. I know that the right wing has been fond of launching wars against toothless enemies as of late, but this is a bit much.
