Basically Briscoe and anyone is the best. I’d rank them 1) Briscoe-Logan 2) Briscoe- Green 3) Briscoe- whatever Benjamin Bratt’s name was, I forgot. Briscoe and Munch were great together but happened too seldom to rank.

They really blew it with Dennis Farina and created the wrong character for him.

I’d say the biggest losses over the years have been Adam Schiff, Briscoe, Claire Kincaid and Jamey Sheridan from CI. Michael Moriarty was great, but Sam Waterson has been good too so the loss isn’t as great as it could have been.

I think it would be unrealistic for De La Graza’s character to get that much of a promotion. Maybe they can bring back Stephanie March from SVU, also easy on the eyes:-) Seemed her job was one step below McCoys.

I actually like the Green-Briscoe years the best, they had good chemistry. But the older years were good. I don’t think Rohm is as bad an actor as everyone seems to think, but that may be because I think she’s hot as all heck (second only to raspy hottie Angie Harmon).

Interesting thing about Rohm on Angel is that initially her character was supposed to be much, much darker than she turned out…and Detective Lockley was by no means all sweetness-and-light in the first place. The WB asked them to tone her down in her first appearance and Whedon/Greenwalt could never bring her back to their initial vision.

I agree. She worked well on that show. I think the tone of the show matched her acting style more.

My wife says Rohm looks like a kewpie doll.

Law & Order was never better than in the first 5-6 seasons when it was good gritty crime drama. Ben Stone, Don Cragen, Paul Robinette, Max Greevey, Mike Logan, Phil Ceretta and Lenny Briscoe.

I stopped watching when Jesse Martin came on the show. His character, Ed Green sucks. The show was worth watching when Michael Imperioli stepped in for awhile and partnered with Dennis Farina but as soon as Martin was back, I tuned out again.

The thing that sucks is, those older episodes are hardly ever shown on TNT anymore except sometimes on the weekend at like 5:00am in the morning!

How is McCoy being kicked upstairs a good thing? You always see so little of the DA on the show; McCoy’s current job gets all the red meat. Who do they hope to replace him?

I remember, for years, L&O fans insisting that Claire might not be dead since they never actually ever said “Claire Kincaid is dead.” There were all sorts of coma and disfigurement theories abound.

I will say that I greatly miss Abbie Carmichael.

Jill Hennessy would be fine--she's a pretty good actress. Alana De La Garza is not only beautiful but she can act. However, I draw the line at Elizabeth Rohm -- her line readings make one think that she maybe can't read. No Jill Hennessy, no peace. I know she died and all in the show, but nobody remembers that. Plus, she has a real-life twin sister, so work that in somehow.
