<description>I cannot really express how depressed this makes me.

I rarely commented at his site, but I supported it with donations and checked it multiple times a day, and found his writing to be a unique breath of fresh air. Sometimes he would write about stuff I didn't know much about (local NY politics, barbeque, soccer), and which I thought I didn't care about, but he made it both interesting and entertaining. Even on the rare occasions when I both disagreed with his viewpoint and knew enough about the subject to stick by that disagreement, his passion made you respect him, and he always left you wanting more.

I still want more. Damn.

My prayers to his family and to Jen.

<description>Only death can silence a great voice for freedom and liberty, but his work lives on. He will be remembered with fondness and admiration.
