  1. Nimrod Gently says:

Microsoft don’t own MySpace. Fox do.

  2. Acanthus says:

Has Dr. Laura commented on this yet?

  3. Duder says:

Wow. Dr. Laura has a fucked-up child. What are the chances?

  4. fd10801 says:

Nimrod Gently: Your ungrammatical assertion is incorrect.

The owner of FOX, Rupert Murdoch owns MySpace.

But, what the hell, we don’t care about details, right, kid?

  5. RoyBatty says:

I owe Dr. Laura’s son my 8th successful submission at FARK.

/shrinks away noting that that’s my biggest honor for about ten years now.

  6. Rheinhard says:

Hey Frank, if the entire wingnutosphere can claim falsely that George Soros funds Media Matters and the entire rest of the liberal blogosphere, then it’s only fair for us to state that FOX NEWS owns MySpace. These two claims have exactly the same syllogical construction and accuracy level, then.

  7. fd10801 says:

Rheinhard: Who, besides you, ever said that George Soros funds Media Matters?
    a) I never said it, because
    b) I don’t care who funds it, and
    c) If FOX does not own MySpace, then FOX does not own MySpace, unless you believe
    d) That if A makes an incorrect statement about B, then C is justified in making an incorrect statement about D.

And I know you don’t believe that, do you?

The fruit does not fall far from the tree

  9. Wilbur says:

If you want to be nitpicky, Frank “Microsoft don’t… Fox do” is perfectly grammatical in real English (as opposed to American English).

“Dr.” Laura is a perfect example of the fact that when it comes to family values, those who can’t do, preach.

  10. Nimrod Gently says:

The subsidiary of News Corporation that owns MySpace is called Fox Interactive. That’s why I said “Fox”. I wasn’t even trying to insinuate anything, just correcting the stupid mistake in the original article.

  11. Dugger says:

Who says Soros money doesn’t go to Media Matters.

“Confronted with this story, a spokesman for the organization explained that “Media Matters for America has never received funding directly from George Soros”

    Ohhhh. ‘Directly’! I get it.

This is like the Democrats ethics clean-up in Congress. I guess if Abramoff, excuse me, Soros, gives the money to X and X gives it to Media Matters, that isn’t Soros funding.

    Ohhhh. ‘Directly’! I get it.

  12. mdhåtter says:

I support this soldiers right to a lifetime of free mental health care, and sedation, and confinement.

  13. Nimrod Gently says:

WHO CARES ABOUT GEORGE SOROS JEEZ.

  14. z adura says:

Dugger, when you get tired of being a Walmart greeter, I would strongly suggest you get yourself some of that wingnut welfare. You have the passion, you have the conviction, you can tie all the links of the nefarious liberal plot together. Go for it, young man!!!

  15. wingnut says:

George Soros is scary. Who ever he is.

  16. “Who, besides you, ever said that George Soros funds Media Matters?”

Bill O’Reilly and later in this same thread, Dugger did.

  17. Dugger says:

    hey zadura.

You’re talking plot – not me. Hopefully, refusing to ignore the fact that is that Soros cash falling out of Ollie’s and Brock’s pockets – does not mean one must believe in a conspiracy.

Do you doubt that OW and Brock, by whatever proxy, have received mucho dinero from Soros. Do you personally seriously doubt that?

  18. Nimrod Gently says:

    Okay, again.

WHO CARES ABOUT GEORGE SOROS JEEZ.

(Also: is this you not “talking plot”, Dugger? Wake me when you are, it might be interesting)

  19. Zython says:

Fact: No one knows, or cares, who George Soros is.
