Small Victories On Stupid Legislation

Sen. Clinton and Sen. Obama voted no on the Democratic Capitulation To Bush Act of 2007. Biden voted yes. Dodd voted no. The bill shouldn’t even have come up in the first place, not without a timeline, but the “no” vote was a vote against the continued failed policies of the administration.

What does it say that the most savvy Presidential hopefuls in the Democratic race knew to vote “no” on this spineless legislation?

It means the Democrats aren’t just being cowardly, it’s that they know we disapprove of their cowardice.

Richardson is lucky he didn’t even have the ability to face this choice.

What does it say that the most savvy Presidential hopefuls in the Democratic race sat on their hands and waited until the last moment to make a completely symbolic stand against a horrendous piece of trash legislation they should have vocally opposed from the start?

Now they can both hit the campaign trail again fully prepped to pretend that this constitutes leadership on their part.

    Nice.

Yes the bill is bad but what about the federal minimum wage increase?
